Growing NYC Marketing Agency - Digital Marketing Manager

We are a small marketing and advertising agency. Our clients are frequently within the financial sector. Although finance knowledge is not required, interest in it is a real plus.

We seek a candidate who is both analytical and technically savvy. As we like to say, being technically adept and creative are a couple of the keys to thriving here.

In a nutshell, this position is for someone who is good with managing multiple different tasks, and keeping very organized, so that all projects are executed optimally. The spectrum of projects and clients are varied, so it’s vital that this candidate also be open to new ideas, tasks and learning.

The purpose of this position is to manage the digital side of the projects— that means setting up ad campaigns in Adwords, Facebook, or whatever we are using for that client, optimizing them and scaling with success. It also means setting up and running email campaigns, and coordinating the two.

Digitally Savvy
You need to be capable of learning new SaaS applications. We need someone who is an expert with Microsoft Office. Knowing basic HTML/CSS is a plus, but not required. We would love to have someone who is interested in the technical side of our campaigns and has his/her eyes open to new products we can integrate with. Any prior intern experience with Facebook, Adwords or other campaign software is a real plus.

Ad Management
We would like to have someone who knows Google Ads and Google Analytics. These are the tools we use throughout our campaigns. You do not need to have certification, though we need you to know how to use them thoroughly (how to identify, prevent and resolve problems as you will be setting up and running these programs).

Databases
We maintain our own and work querying numerous outside databases. Our goal is to query our way to the best, prospects, segmenting along the way. So liking data is an attribute.

Email
This position moves HTML into email blasting software, so some knowledge of HTML is good. This position schedules and deploys numerous email campaigns, tracking them and their results.

Reporting
With campaigns comes reporting both internally and to clients. So charting, Excel, and PowerPoint are required skills.

Multitasking & Organizational Skills
The ability to manage multiple accounts and projects is the main requirement for this position.
Without a high level of organization, it will be impossible for you to easily manage projects. We need someone who will label and file everything in their computer/email here.

Editing
This position gets to weigh in on creative. We want your opinion and edits to writing and designs, as you sit in on creative meetings.

Though there is a level of continuity with certain tasks, each week is dynamic with clients and internal teams. Our agency is comprised of very different individuals, with our own quirks and talents. We’re an open space for unique minds and personalities. Patience is great to have here all around, as you’ll be learning a lot and probably teaching us some things as well.
